The DOE Office of Science is the single largest funder for basic research in the United States. While working with their Communications team, I collaborated with their multimedia team to help interview and write the scripts for their ongoing podcast called Direct Current.

I contribute quirky, animal-related episodes to this wide-spanning podcast that brings science to the ears of a general audience. Working with this talented multimedia team, I generally pitch a story idea, write and record the script, and produce each full-length episode.

KSQD Radio

In the Spring of 2020, I “cut my teeth” in audio production while interning with this Santa Cruz-based public radio station. Although all production happened at home due to the COVID-19 restrictions, I learned the basics of writing and recording quick, informative stories that focused on the science of the pandemic.
